Pink Glove Dance Competition FAQs

1. Who is eligible?

The Contest is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia, and Canada (excluding Quebec), who are not otherwise ineligible under these Official Rules (each an "Eligible Entrant"). The video entry must be submitted by one entrant ("Entry Spokesperson") who is 18 years or older as of the time of entry, who will submit the video on behalf of the all persons depicted in the submitted video. 2. How do I enter the contest?

Go to pinkglovedance.com to enter the contest and receive the rules and additional information.

3. What songs can I use in the video?

Use only one of the following songs, which the artists have generously approved for use in the contest:

  1. "Down" by Jay Sean (song used in the original Pink Glove Dance video)**
  2. "You Won't Dance Alone" by the Best Day Ever (song from the Pink Glove Dance sequel)
  3. "Evacuate the Dance Floor" by Cascada
  4. "Let Yourself Go" by Emily
  5. "This One’s For the Girls" by Martina McBride
  6. "Part of Me" by Katy Perry

You can download the songs from iTunes and Amazon.com. Check back on pinkglovedance.com for an updated list of songs as we may be adding new songs.

**If you plan on using "Down" by Jay Sean, then you must interrupt the song recording (music and lyrics) every 90 seconds. It is suggested to interrupt by saying the name of your organization. For more information, check out the Official Rules [PDF] or e-mail us at pinkglovedance@medline.com.

4. How do I submit my video?

All videos need to be submitted on a DVD. Download the media release form and have each person participating in the video sign a copy. Include signed forms with video.

5. What types of files can I submit?

Send us your video on a DVD. We prefer an HD recording / high quality in an MP4 or MOV format.

6. What if I already made a video; can I submit it?

Yes, you can submit as long as you use one of the official songs approved for the competition (see question 3).

7. What happens if I win?

We will contact you by the 4th week in October to discuss the donation prize and other potential activities you may participate in as a winner.

8. What do I get if I win?

The top three winners will receive donations in their name to a breast cancer charity of their choice, such as the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The charity is subject to Medline’s review to ensure it falls within our compliance guidelines. The amounts of the donations are $10,000 for 1st place, $5,000 for 2nd place and $2,000 for 3rd place.

9. When can I submit? What is the deadline?

You can submit your video at any time. Your video is due by September 28, 2012 (see question 4).

10. What happens after my video is submitted?

All videos will be posted on pinkglovedance.com on October 12. Viewers will then be able to vote for their favorite video. Winners will be determined by votes and other judging criteria. Voting ends on October 26th, 2012. Winners will be announced on November 2nd, 2012.

11. How many videos can I submit?

You can submit as many videos as you like.

12. What if I don’t see my submission on the site?

All videos will be viewed prior to posting to ensure they have followed the contest rules and are appropriate for public viewing.

13. Where can I get pink gloves?

To get you started, we will send you a box of 100 gloves free of charge. If you require additional gloves, you have three ways to order them:

  1. Go to scrubs123.com where you can pay by credit card
  2. Call 1-800-MEDLINE to talk with one of our sales representatives
  3. If you are a Medline customer, please talk with your Medline Sales representative

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Entering is easy as 1, 2, 3

  1. Complete the form on this site and receive official contest rules and a starter kit. (pink gloves, how-to guide, communication materials and other contest information)
  2. Choose one of the officially licensed contest songs.
  3. Gather your dancers and shoot your own video. Submissions must be postmarked no later than September 28.
