Our reason for entering this contest is that as members of the healthcare profession, we all see on a daily basis the struggles, pain and fear that those living with breast cancer and all other forms of malignancy endure. This affects not only the patient, but their family, friends, caregivers and many others in their lives. In observing those men and women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer it seems that they are a rare breed. It’s almost as if upon learning of their diagnosis they put on their boxing gloves and are ready to fight the fight of their lives. Breast cancer patients often seem to be the ones doing the most encouraging. It means so much to be part of a project that raises awareness of breast cancer in such a positive way. It’s great to celebrate the fight against this devastating disease by doing the Pink Glove Dance video. Each participant is in his or her own way standing up to this disease that affects so many. Thank you, Medline, for bring this cause to the forefront and giving us a way to raise awareness by celebrating those who are fighting this disease with such valiance and dignity.
